New update of Candidate List of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) for consumer products. New total 219 substances
On 8 July 2021, the ECHA (European Chemicals Agency) has released the new Candidate List of SVHC covering 8 new substances for them being toxic for reproduction, carcinogenic, respiratory sensitizers or endocrine disruptors.
Newly regulated substances relating to general consumer products such as textile, leather and plastic products are summarised below:

With the addition of 8 new substances, the current list of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) now contains 219 substances.
You are reminded that starting from 5 January 2021, all suppliers of articles being placed to the EU market are required to notify these articles in ECHA’s SCIP Database if the articles contains substances from Candidate List of concentration more than 0.1% weight by weight.
